Elevated Photography for Commercial Property & Architecture

The Swan - Bridgnorth - Elevated Photo

Above: The Swan in Bridgnorth Hightown, photographed from a 6 metre high telescopic pole. Using a lightweight pole enables us to take more shots in a given time without impeding pedestrians or traffic. Elevated photography for street scenes shifts the emphasis of the composition away from the traffic and pedestrians seen at eye level, to the beauty of the buildings, architecture and roofline.

Thomas Telford Church - Bridgnorth - Elevated Photo

Above & below: Designed by Thomas Telford and completed in 1795, the Church of St Mary Magdalene in Bridgnorth stands on the edge of Hightown overlooking the River Severn. This photo was taken from a telescopic pole through the branches of a tree in the graveyard.

Elevated photography, even at a very modest height, can make elements in a scene at floor level actually start to look interesting, instead of viewing them at an acute angle, which tends to condense and merge.
