Give your photos a new angle!

Elevated photography brings with it the opportunity to explore a whole new range of creative photographic compositions that present subjects from an entirely fresh perspective and hold potential customers' attention for longer.

Images can be captured from a viewpoint up to 7 metres (approximately 24 feet) off the ground from virtually any location in which a person can stand, making this an extremely versatile option for both indoor and outdoor photography. Using either a lightweight, rigid, telescopic pole system or lightweight alloy tripod which can be used in locations that are inaccessible using vehicle mounted photography masts. The small footprint of the pole makes it possible to take photographs in confined locations, on uneven surfaces and even inclines, where a tripod mounted camera would be impractical.

The lightweight pole is raised or lowered rapidly and I can be ready to shoot in under a minute, therefore making this elevated photography service particularly cost effective on shoots where the client needs shots from several locations. On this type of shoot I charge by the half day.

Elevated photography can lend it's unique viewpoints to the majority of subjects, but gives particularly pleasing results with architectural photographs, where the elevated camera position can eliminate converging verticals whilst giving greater depth and foreground interest to a building's setting, offering a better impression of the 3D space.

The interior spaces of museums, hotels, offices, warehouses, factory units and retail premises can all benefit from elevated photographs where the higher viewpoint places greater emphasis on the floor space offering a better impression of volume and potentially more seperation between objects at floor level.

Other applications include: archaeological sites, construction site surveys, telecommunications surveying, golf course, inspection, engineering, residential property, commercial property, planning enquiries, landscape design, gardens, events, exhibitions, property sales, tourist attractions, architects and historic buildings.

An entirely new spectrum of creative composition and framing options present themselves where two subjects can be juxtaposed in totally original ways that would be impossible without elevated photography from a pole or tripod mast.

Images are captured with Nikon Digital SLR's or Canon cameras and I also offer Photoshop image manipulation, HDR photography, image fusion, retouching and HD videos from stills.

For surveys and inspection an HD or SD video camera mounted on a remotely controlled pan and tilt head can be employed on a 7.3 metre high tripod.
