THIS SUSPENSION CLIP HAS NOW BEEN SOLD

IFS Independent Front Suspension AssemblyIan Mockett of AutoPower built this independent front suspension crossmember for me to suit the '34 Chevy I'm also selling. Comes as a complete assembly with powder coated A - arm wishbones hanging on urethane bushes, mark 4 Cortina uprights and hubs (drilled for 5 stud Chevy/Jag), steering rack and universal joint. Also included are a pair of unused adjustable coil overs.

Top wishbone mount is eccentric for camber adjustment. Distance across throat of chassis rail cutout is 24" (ie to suit 24 inches inside chassis rails). Cutout is 1" deep and 3" high. Hub flange to hub flange distance is 53.375" (without discs).

The track is about the correct width to get 7" wide rims under the wings of a 32 or 34 without contact.

The height from floor to hub centreline with the assembly resting on the floor is 6.375" (approx) and from floor to the bottom of chassis cutout is 3.25". When installed on a vehicle I would expect the lower wishbone to assume a shallow angle, effectively raising the distance to the bottom of chassis cutout to about 4". I would estimate that this will put the centreline of the hub about 0.75" below the top of a 3" deep chassis rail or 2.25" from the bottom.

avo adjustable shocksThe suspension crossmember assembly comes with a pair of adjustable AVO shock absorbers and a pair of coil springs.

This assembly has never been fitted to a vehicle and stored in a dry garage.
